What is Gouny & Starkley’s current position?
After working for about twenty years for international consultancies such as JLL, Cushman & Wakefield and Savills, it was time for me to set up my own organisation. I did just that two years ago, because in my specialty, commerce in general, and retail parks in particular, I had the expertise and experience that allowed me to pursue it. Business got off to a good start with a few pretty good transactions. For example, we arranged Grosvenor’s sale of a 2,800 m2 building of retail properties occupied by H&M, Orange and Footlocker in Thionville (57) town centre to a private entity; the sale by the Compagnie de Phalsbourg of a retail park of over 5,000 m2 in La Rochelle Angoulins (17) to Amundi, and also the sale of around forty Dia shops (premises and business assets) to a Polish group, whose expansion in France we are going to be managing. Strengthened by these successes, we are continuing our own development.
By merging two complementary entities: Gouny Retail and Starkley & Weldorf. The Gouny & Starkley company benefits from the owner/ landlord knowledge base, expertise, and reputation of Gouny Retail, as well as input provided by the STARKLEY & WELDORF teams, with their knowledge of retail and their dynamic attitude.
